Introduction to me (Pluck) and this blog

Q. What are you blogging about? 

A. Ounces and I have been best buddies since forever, but we're currently living across the country from each other. Ounces loves cooking. I've recently accepted that if I want to eat delicious food I had better love cooking too. This blog is our genius idea to have a project to work on together. I'm so excited about it that I am cackling right now. 

Q. Awww, that's sweet. That didn't really answer the question. 

A. Cooking. We are blogging about cooking. 

Q. That's still super broad.

A. Yup. This blog is not marketable. I'm a beginning cook and I need cheap, healthy, delicious, easy-to-make food. So, my stuff will probably be about that. Also, I can sum up my kitchen situation with this cabinet: 

 

Yes, those are all our knives. Grab stuff carefully.

So, I’m lucky enough that I have a fully functioning kitchen with a lot of tools (and roommates who will very generously share their stuff with me). But I’m going to need some extra creativity for some methods and abandon others for requiring too many tools I don’t have.

Q. So, that's a drawer. Why is Ounces the best person ever? 

A. Glad that doesn't sound contrived. She's the best ever because she’s smart and hilarious and a petite badass. She’s all full of whimsy and vigor and salt and vinegar, with a streak of sweet. You should come check out the blog every week to see what she's up to!
